BBFC (British Board of Film Classification)
The BBFC set rules and regulations for
movies in the UK only. They publish short but detailed analyses of all the
films and videos we rate.
This is called BBFCinsight.
It gives parents a clear idea of how and
why films have been rated and issues the film contains, such as themes in the
content to flashing images that may cause epilepsy. The certificate from the
BBFC is a legal requirement for films, to ensure they can be seen in the UK.
However for me especially and my group, I
feel some films can be ruined by the BBFC insight, yes, they do warn you about
plot spoilers but to know what film you are going to be watching by reading
their insights you do come across the occasional spoiler, but again they warn
you of this and yes they try to avoid giving away any spoilers.
They also do Mobile content, for mobile
operators use a classification designed by the British Board (BBFC) to filter
video and website content available via mobile networks.
